As Group Chief Commercial Officer at Digital Parks Africa, Wiaan Vermaak is responsible for overseeing business development and service portfolio evolution.

He brings over 30 years of technical and industry-specific expertise gained in service of leading service providers in Africa. Having worked in Morocco, Türkiye, France and East Africa, Wiaan has served in roles including Managing Executive at Cell C and Chief Executive Officer at Afrifiber, the only privately owned FTTX telco operator in the Republic of Djibouti.

He holds professional credentials from the Gordon Institute of Business Science; in Telecom, Policy & Regulation Management from the University of the Witwatersrand; and Executive Development from the University of the Free State.
