Lars Johannisson joined Rack Centre as Chief Executive Officer in December 2023, bringing over +20 years of leadership experience driving transformation across Africa's most dynamic industries.

Lars has a deep background spanning Telecom, IT Delivery, Managed Services, and Digital Skilling, and has executed large-scale B2B projects across more than 30 Sub-Saharan African countries. He is passionate about building organizations that create lasting impact on the continent, with a particular focus on digital and economic inclusion.

Since joining Rack Centre, Lars has overseen the development of the largest data centre in the region, cementing the company's position as the leading digital infrastructure provider in West Africa.

He holds an MBA in General Management and Finance from the Stockholm School of Economics and has completed the Stanford University Executive Program in "Design, Innovation and Business Transformation." He has been an active voice in Digital and Economic Inclusion discussions across Sub-Saharan Africa, sponsoring initiatives that partner with leading Corporate Social Value organizations to hire and train youth in IT.

Prior to joining Rack Centre, Lars served as CEO of Teleperformance in Sub-Saharan Africa, where he led the world's foremost digital customer experience across its emerging markets division, MD Africa for YNV Group (TeKnowledge & Elev8), COO of Ericsson Sub-Saharan Africa, world’s largest telecommunication vendor, he has also undertaken Corporate Restructuring assignment in Eastern Africa in the Renewables Industry.
