David Bunei was appointed as Oracle’s Managing Director for the Kenya Oracle Hub in June 2019. In addition to the Oracle Kenya country leadership role David currently leads the East, Central and West and South Africa Oracle Cloud Systems business where he is responsible for growth and expansion of Oracle cloud infrastructure for Government and Enterprises customers. 

Prior to his appointment David was the General Manager at Cisco Systems, responsible for business in East Africa and Indian Ocean Islands from September 2015 to June 2019. His previous roles at Cisco included technical and sales management Cisco spanning across covering East, Central and West Africa. 

With over 24 years' experience in IT and Telecom industry he has held roles spanning field engineering, Technical Sales, Sales and Sales Management across public and private sectors. He is passionate about using technology to solve business problems, motivating and empowering teams work collaboratively to deliver results. He believes in engaging with customers and business partners to build relations that deliver mutual business outcomes.

David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) in Strategic Management, David is married and lives in Nairobi and with two teenage boys. In his free time he supports local ICT ventures in local communities and offers mentoring to young IT leaders.
