Chris leads the executive team responsible for all elements of the company’s global operations, including corporate and product strategy, business development, worldwide sales, engineering, operations, finance and resource planning. Chris joined WIOCC as CEO in 2008 as employee #1, driving the company through its start-up phase and into full-scale operations. Over the last 18 years, WIOCC Group has established its position as Africa’s leading provider of converged, open-access digital infrastructure. In 2020, Chris launched the company’s data centre business (OADC), which is now the fastest-growing data centre operator in Africa and further expanded the Company’s offerings to include FTTx with the launch of Open Access Metro Services (OAMS) in 2025.

This, together with strategic investments in both terrestrial and new subsea systems, has reinforced the company’s place as the continent’s foremost carriers’ carrier and a leading provider of managed solutions for the largest ecosystem players.

Chris’s career spans over 30 years in the telecommunications industry. A qualified accountant, Chris has held senior leadership positions across a variety of fields at major telecommunications companies, including MFS/WorldCom and FLAG Telecom/Reliance.
