Bernard Muteti is the Director in charge of Enterprise Solutions, Wholesale and Carrier Business at Safaricom PLC with responsibility for the leadership, strategic direction and operational management of Large Enterprises, National Government, Wholesale Transit, Tower Colocation, Roaming and International Business.  

A business leader with over 20 years commercial experience in Africa Telecommunications Industry, Bernard possesses extensive international and direct operational experience in leading markets on the continent including Nigeria in West Africa and Kenya in East Africa, working with global telecommunication companies among them Orange, Airtel and Globacom. 

Passionate about the role of technology in transforming lives and deepening inclusion, Bernard played a pioneering role in the entry of Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNOs) in the Kenya Telecoms Industry in 2014, launching a global award-winning partnership model and use case of how banks and telecommunication companies can collaborate. He is a thought leader and speaker at international industry summits and a consultant on Africa telecoms. In his free time, Bernard enjoys board games and African literature.
