Akbar Ladak is a seasoned technology business leader with over two decades of experience shaping telecom, fintech, and digital ecosystems across the Middle East and Africa. Currently serving as Executive Vice President – Middle East & Africa at Globe Teleservices (GTS), Akbar is responsible for driving growth in A2P messaging, enterprise communications, and anti-fraud platforms across the region.

He also leads FinBraine, a cutting-edge AI/ML-driven business unit within the GTS Group focused on alternative credit scoring and inclusive lending solutions, helping bridge the financial access gap in emerging markets.

Akbar has held senior leadership roles with Smart East Africa, Millicom, Nokia Siemens Networks, and Roshan, where he spearheaded multi-million-dollar infrastructure rollouts, strategic partnerships, fintech launches, and transformative M&A deals. He is known for delivering sustainable value through regulatory finesse, data-driven strategies, and customer-centric innovation.
