Agnes Limo is a powerhouse in Africa’s digital transformation landscape, a trailblazer with a distinguished career spanning two decades, she has led transformative innovations, championed digital inclusion, and consistently broken new ground in technology leadership.

Under her Visionary Leadership as CEO of Vilcom Networks, she has steered the company into Kenya’s top 6 fixed broadband providers within five years, expanding access to unserved and underserved regions and redefining connectivity with purpose. 

Beyond her executive role, Agnes plays a pivotal role in shaping the technology landscape in Kenya. As the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of the Technology Service Providers Association of Kenya (TESPOK), she  contributes in driving progress in emerging technologies, policy advocacy, and digital access.

In her capacity as Chair of the Gender Sector Working Group within the Ministry of Public Service, Gender & Affirmative Action, she actively crafts strategies and policies to advance women’s economic empowerment 

and financial inclusion.

A passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion, Agnes has particularly focused on empowering women and girls in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). Agnes has founded the Vilcom Women in Digital Economy (WIDE) Network to champion women’s participation in the digital space.

Agnes’s contributions have earned her national and industry recognition. She was awarded the Moran of the Order of the Burning Spear (MBS) by the President of Kenya, a prestigious national honor for her impact in technology and public good. She has also been named among Kenya’s Top 40 Under 40 Women, the Technology Woman of the year 2025 Award at the African Digital Economy Awards and was celebrated as the Woman Engineer Entrepreneur of the Year 2024 by the Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK), Women Engineers Committee (WEC).

Prior to Vilcom Networks, Agnes held several leadership roles in Leading

telecommunications Companies in the country. Agnes holds a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a Master’s in Public Policy Management. Outside the boardroom, she expresses her creativity  through baking—a reflection of her multidimensional talents.
