Africa’s AI ambitions are creating new demands for connectivity, compute and digital infrastructure. How can the ecosystem move from fragmented national infrastructure to shared, scalable and bankable infrastructure that supports AI workloads across markets?

This workshop brings together digital infrastructure providers, financial institutions and policymakers to explore what is required to unlock cross-market investment, mobilise domestic and institutional capital, and create the policy and trust frameworks needed to enable regional AI infrastructure.

Discussion themes will include:

• Infrastructure & Commercial Viability: What infrastructure and connectivity conditions are needed to support scalable AI workloads across markets?

• Capital & Bankability: What financing structures and investment conditions can unlock institutional and domestic capital for regional digital infrastructure?

• Policy, Data & Cross-Border Trust: What policy, data governance and cybersecurity frameworks are needed to enable trusted cross-market AI activity?

• Pilot Corridors & Implementation: What opportunities exist to move from strategy to a practical regional pilot, leveraging existing infrastructure and partnerships?
